I Love Now.
I thought it’d be a good idea to share my favorite Instagram captions on here in order to give them a more permanent home. I’ll categorize these posts in a series From the Archives. They’ll be shorter blog posts, but they are quick and heavy-hitters. I hope that you’ll enjoy!
you can’t learn from what you’re living through if you don’t give yourself the permission to be PRESENT. take the time to get to know yourself, to experience this moment fully. it’s human to be so caught up in worries about the possible scenarios of the future and the mind replay-loops of the past that we forget to take a deep, grateful breath and see the LOVE and BLESSINGS unique to RIGHT NOW. @realwithemma posted a mantra a while back simply stating: “I love now.”
Imagine that. Loving now, without any justifications or asterisks of “well I’d love this moment more if it I just had a boyfriend/girlfriend, or if I had more money, or if I didn’t have so much schoolwork, or if I wasn’t so busy.” The radical acceptance and courage it takes to say “I love now” is the exact missing ingredient so much of us lapse on as we search for CONTENTMENT.
We talk about happiness as a lifelong goal, but the feeling(s) we dub as happiness are more likely PEACE and CONTENTMENT. The satisfaction of finding joy in what IS, as it is. If we want to “grow through what we go through,” it’s worth asking ourselves what lives we want to grow into. What about your life right now do you feel in true need of change? Is there anything that screams out at you? It’s worth considering that your life is filled with more love and companionship than what comes to mind at first glance. Dare to get present and honest enough with yourself to SEE THAT! Love attracts love. Friendship attracts friendship. Abundance attracts abundance. Wake up to your life. Be brave enough to wake up in awe and inspiration of the endless possibilities you as a human being possess. See what it is you’re going through, and ask what parts of you are looking to grow from it.
